Dr. Raquel Salati has a degree in Plant Pathology, with a specialty in molecular virology. She worked with multiple scientific teams within the seed industry for 16 years, which has allowed her to acquire experience in project development and management, and has 24 years of accumulative experience in agricultural science and management.

Dr. Eneas Salati held a doctorate degree in Physics and Meteorology. He was a retired professor from the University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP, São Paulo state, Brazil). Dr. Salati was also extremely knowledgeable of the ecological inner workings of the Amazon forest in Brazil. After leaving the university, Dr. Salati started working for a Brazilian foundation primarily geared toward helping the environment. He was responsible for developing the 'Constructed Wetlands, Vertical Flow Soil Filtering System', also known as 'Hydric Depuration with Soils - HDS'. For two years Dr. Salati worked in Washington D.C. for the Worldwide Bank helping with the assessment and procurement of grants for South America.  While in Washington D.C., Dr. Salati had the opportunity to discuss the unique challenges and concerns of the Amazon with Al Gore and other members of the United States Senate.

Steven has over 27 years of hydrological experience within the western United States. Dr. Deverel analyzes groundwater systems, quantifies chemical and physical processes in soils and groundwater, and evaluates ground and surface water quality. He is a registered professional hydrologist certified by the American Institute of Hydrology; a California-licensed professional geologist; and a Texas-licensed professional geoscientist. He is also a consulting Hydrologist in Private Practice and Principal Hydrologist and a cofounder of HydroFocus Inc. since January 1998, in Davis, CA.
